Workshop: 3 Material Modeling

Final model after transormative actions.
Actions: Slicing and Seperating and Linear Wrapping

My 2 actions were slicing and separating and linear wrapping. I sliced the top floor from the bottom and rotated it 80 degrees so it canter levered over the lower floor of the house.
An interesting feature of the house i replicated and transformed was a type of bay window with 45 degree angled walls. To wrap this i bent 8 pieces of aluminium to create the shape.
One on my main focuses was on materiality. I used a variety of materials such as mdf for the base and box board for the landscape contours, balsa for the majority of main walls and wrapping, and aluminium for the staircase and bay window. Throughout this is was able to attain a contrast in materials eg steel and wood which in real life represent different strengths and are used in structures in varying ways.
